Right to Research More

Dear Youth Fellows,

As your very first year of association with PUKAR and the process of research is near completion, we very much hope you had an enjoyable time raising important questions about the city we live in and learned new skills.

For those of you who are interested in continuing your relationship with the Fellowship programme, PUKAR is proud to introduce the Advanced Youth Fellowship project and invite you to apply for the same.

This advanced level is specifically aimed at those who would like to learn more methods of research, probe with deeper questions and are willing to read, write, document (audio-video) and use the internet as a new resource for research and action.


Requisite:

  1. Dedicated day a week for the research process.

  2. Work in pairs or in a group of maximum 4 fellows including you.

  3. You don’t have to repeat the old research project.

  4. Choose a totally new subject or build on one component of the old research with a deeper exploration.

  5. Research costs will be compensated after every term similar to the last year

The group should be ready before the application process [that is why you are given plenty of time to think through and form your groups carefully].


Schedule:

  1. The Advance Research Fellowship program me will start on 1st of July 2010 and go on till June 2011.

  2. The 1st term (July to October) will be focused on new research questions and learning new and deeper methodology.

  3. The 2nd term (November to February) will be devoted to data collection and documentation.

  4. The 3rd term (March-June) will be devoted to analysis, writing and uploading.


Application Process:

  1. Application forms will be distributed to you online as well as in events during the youth fellowship project.

  2. Applications duly filled in, must be submitted to PUKAR before 30th May 2010. Please contact your coordinators for queries and further information.

  3. Interviews will be held between June 5th & June 10th. Announcement about the selected groups will be made on 11th June.

  4. The selected groups will start their projects by 1st of July 2010.
