Workshops

We organise multiple workshops throughout the year to help the young researchers in the process of their research. These workshops provide inputs in the area of theory framework as well as various research skills. The methodology of each of these workshops is interactive and experiential. Many renowned scholars, journalists, social activists, PUKAR associates, film makers have imparted their skills and knowledge though these workshops.

Community Events

Community event is a democratic space created in Youth Fellowship programme to promote the idea of "right to research". The young researchers share their ideas with the community at various stages of their research process. The modalities of these events include panel discussions, poetry reading, film screenings as well as interactive sessions with eminent personalities. We encourage two or more research teams to come together to conduct an event pertinent to their research topics. It helps them to understand various aspects of their research themes.

Graduation Event

The graduation ceremony at the end of each year provides opportunity to the young researchers to share their research processes and products with larger population, media, policy makers and with each other. The hard work of these researchers throughout the year gets synthesized into various forms of public documents such as photo-essays, booklets, posters, films, calendars and comic books.

Open House

The monthly meetings taking place in PUKAR office are a very important step in the participatory methodology of YF programme. Two or more representatives of each group share the difficulties and achievements of their processes with other groups. This sharing provides the crucial opportunity for peer learning.

Research Yatra

It is an important mid-term event in the process of Y F Program. It creates an occasion for the young researchers to share their research processes and products with larger community and develop presentations skills. This event has proved to be an opportunity for team building.

Film Screenings

The screening of various documentary and short films relevant to the various research topics has been an important part of the YF process. These screenings are organised mostly during the monthly meetings and the workshops. Each of the screenings is followed by the discussion about the content as well as form of the film. Sometimes film makers are invited to participate in the discussions. The promotion of film viewing culture is showing its impact in the form of many short films as research products.

Reach out events

YF team disseminates the information about the project through reachout events. We make concerted efforts to inform people about the project through multi-media presentations and interactive sessions with varied groups of people related to non- government organisations, hospitals, colleges and libraries.

Discussions

YF team organizes discussions relevant to the themes emerging from the process of YF programme. Apart from the researchers from current batches, these discussions also include the alumni to build upon their experiences. These discussions are helpful for the YF team for meta-analysis and to improve upon the methodologies used in YF process.
